GUE Classes
...an adventure
General Class overview
For dates, see www.gue.com or email directly.

Cave 1 classes meet Monday morning at Blue Grotto in Williston.  You can get driving directions from www.divebluegrotto.com/map.html I have also attached the waiver and if you get the chance to complete this and bring to class, it will save us a bit of time.

Cave 2 classes meet the first day of class at Extreme Exposure in High Springs.

Rebreather classes meet the first day of class at Extreme Exposure in High Springs. We will spend the day going over equipment and some lectures.

You will need to bring your lunch and plenty of drinks to the site – plan for this each day as we’ll be in pretty remote areas.  An inexpensive cooler is a good investment for keeping drinks cool.  There’s a Subway in High Springs and a Winn-Dixie grocery store to stock up on snacks.  We’ll spend the majority of each day in the field.

The remainder of the week will be spent at a variety of local spring sites. Site fees range from free to $40 USD per day and some are “cash only” drop boxes. Lectures will be conducted in the field as well as Extreme Exposure.

Students need two sets of doubles EACH for each day.  This should eliminate the need to get fills during the day and make us much more efficient.  If you need to arrange tanks, I have six sets of 104’s for rent.

Although Florida is known as the Sunshine State, weather varies with the seasons. Please check the forecast for your class and dress appropriately. During the warmer months, bug repellant and sunscreen are very handy items.

Please let me know where you will be staying and cell phone contact information. Get ready for a great class and an unparalleled adventure!
